Bankruptcy Law Firm
All the information (paperwork) you give me ends in a bankruptcy petition. This is the document I file with the bankruptcy court.
Your bankruptcy petition is a number of separate documents called Schedules. For example, your assets are listed in Schedule A/B.
The property you are exempting (keeping) is in Schedule C.
Your debts are listed in Schedules D, E and F.
And your income and expenses are listed in Schedules I and J.
A bankruptcy petition is a long document.
A Chapter 7 petition can easily run 50-plus pages.
A Chapter 13 petition is a bit longer because of the payment plan.
